Our Promise
We stand behind every Oak & Gravel piece. Each piece is made to order, and if your order arrives damaged, defective, or is not what you ordered, we will make it right. The details below explain how returns work and your rights under the law.
A. Returns
Made-to-order items
Because every Oak & Gravel piece is made to order and cannot be restocked or resold, we do not accept returns, refunds, or size swaps for change of mind, or for a size you selected. Please use the size chart on each product page before ordering, and email us at care@oakgravel.com if you are unsure about fit. This does not affect the statutory rights of consumers in the European Union, set out in section B.
Damaged, defective, wrong, or undelivered orders
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or is not the item you ordered, or if it does not arrive, contact us at care@oakgravel.com within 30 days of delivery with a photo and your order number. We will replace the item, or refund you if a replacement is not possible. You will not need to send anything back.
Multiple sizes
Ordering the same design in several sizes with the intention of keeping one and returning the rest is not eligible for return or refund.
Final sale
Sale and clearance items and gift cards are final and cannot be returned or refunded, except where the item arrived damaged, defective, or is not what you ordered.
Return shipping
Where a return is accepted, you are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item received was damaged, defective, or incorrect. In those cases we will provide a prepaid return label or reimburse your shipping cost once verified. We recommend using a tracked shipping method so your return arrives safely.
Personalized items
Should we offer personalized or made-to-your-specification items in the future, those are excluded from cancellation and return to the extent permitted by law. Our standard catalog is not personalized and is not excluded on that basis.
B. European Union — Right of Cancellation
Introduction
Consumers — i.e. any individual acting for purposes which are wholly or mainly outside that individual's trade, business, craft or profession — who are resident in the European Union have a statutory right to cancel, as set out below.
Right to Cancel
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The cancellation period will expire 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you, acquire physical possession of the goods.
To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us (Steffen Meisel, Muehlenstr. 8a, 14167 Berlin, Germany, Phone: +49 30 20967592, e-mail: care@oakgravel.com) of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (for example, a letter sent by post or e-mail). You may use the model cancellation form in section C, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of Cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You must send back the goods without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Returned items must be unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition and packaging.
Exclusions
The right of cancellation does not apply to the supply of goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalized, nor to goods marked as final sale. Our standard catalog is made to order from set designs and is not treated as made to your specification. The statutory 14-day right of cancellation applies to consumers resident in the European Union.
